  • Magic Escape Rooms is located on the 5th floor at 190 E Gay St, Columbus, OH 43215, right in the heart of downtown and across from the Residence Inn. We are a short distance from the Short North and The Ohio State University campus.

  • Yes! All of our experiences are 100% private. Whether you book for a duo or a larger group, you will never be paired with strangers. This makes us a premier choice for fantastic date nights and intimate group outings.

  • We currently offer two high-immersion, story-driven adventures: 'Edison's Lost Invention,' which features 1920s-era logical puzzling, and 'The Magician's Secret,' which focuses on the golden age of magic. Both rooms are designed with intricate, well-researched historical narratives.

  • Absolutely. We love helping with special events, including marriage proposals. We can coordinate with you to hide an engagement ring or a personal message within our puzzles to ensure a memorable 'Yes!'

    And we can schedule special dates and times for private events at our downtown Columbus location.

  • Yes! Students from The Ohio State University and other local colleges can use the code PRESTO at checkout to receive 10% off their booking.

  • Book for the players you're sure of, and feel free to bring any last-minute additions with you! We’ll simply collect the balance for extra guests at the door via cash or credit card, provided your total group stays within the room’s maximum capacity.

  • Children under 8 play free with full supervision, while ages 8–11 are $16.50 and must be accompanied by an adult. Players 12 and up are regular price and can play without a guardian in the room—though we suggest parents of 12–14 year olds remain nearby in our lobby.

  • Click any 'Book Now' button to choose your date and mission from our live calendar. After a quick credit card checkout, you’ll receive an instant confirmation email with everything you need for your adventure!

  • "Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early for check-in to account for downtown Columbus traffic and parking. If you’re running behind, please call us at (614) 802-1935 immediately; since our games run on a tight, back-to-back schedule, we'll let you know if we can still accommodate you or if we need to reschedule.

  • There are metered streets all around us (Gay, High, and Long Streets). We recommend downloading the ParkCBUS app on Google Play or the Apple app store.

  • Yes! There are a lot of nearby restaurants, bars & coffee shops a short walk away. See a list here: FOOD & DRINK

  • Our building features elevator access to the 5th floor, but please note there are a few exterior steps at the entrance that may pose a challenge. If you have specific accessibility questions, give us a call at (614) 802-1935—we’re happy to help you plan your visit.

  • Life happens! You can reschedule or cancel your reservation for a full refund with at least 48 hours' notice. For changes within 48 hours of your game time, please call us directly at (614) 802-1935.
