In the heart of downtown Columbus, Ohio lies a century-old secret. History books say Thomas Edison died in 1931, but his private diary tells a stranger story. In 1920, Edison obsessed over a final invention: a device designed to bridge the gap between our world and the spirit realm.

"I am inclined to believe that our personality hereafter will be able to affect matter." - Thomas Edison, 1920

You’ve been hired to investigate a long-forgotten corner of a historic building where the "Wizard of Menlo Park" was seen repeatedly in his final years. Could his “greatest invention” have remained hidden somewhere in this very building? And if so, can you make it work? You have 60 minutes to follow the story and clues, activate the device, and see what—or who—is waiting on the other side.

Columbus OH Escape Room Notes:

Edison’s Lost Invention was originally conceived as an escape game back in 2018. Since then, the story has evolved in detail through a depth of research into Thomas Edison and ancient Egypt. For this escape room build, it took us 8 months of initial planning and game design followed by 11 months of constructing the escape room itself.

Everything within Edison’s Lost Invention was put together in-house: story development, set construction, puzzle creation, prop builds, wiring, technology installation, programming, painting, creation of art, sound, and more. We hope you enjoy your time playing it!
